List of pilot cities for clean heating in winter in northern China in 2017 announced

In accordance with the decisions and arrangements of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council, in order to accelerate the promotion of clean heating in winter in northern regions, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Rural Development, the Ministry of Environmental Protection, and the National Energy Administration organized a competitive evaluation of pilot cities for clean heating in winter in northern regions in 2017.

To ensure the openness, fairness, and impartiality of the selection process, on June 3rd, under the on-site supervision of the supervisory authority, 8 experts were selected from the expert pool to form a judging panel. On June 4th, under the full supervision of the supervisory authority and observers from each defending city, a defense evaluation was conducted on the relevant cities, and the selection results were announced on the spot. According to the evaluation results, 12 cities including Tianjin, Shijiazhuang, Tangshan, Baoding, Langfang, Hengshui, Taiyuan, Jinan, Zhengzhou, Kaifeng, Hebi, and Xinxiang are proposed to be included in the pilot scope of winter clean heating in northern China in 2017 (sorted by administrative divisions).

The above results are now publicly announced from June 7th, 2017 to June 11th, 2017.
