The Gas Heating Professional Committee of the Gas Branch of the Chinese Society of Civil Engineering has conducted a market survey on the production and sales of gas heating water heaters in 2013. The statistical work has been completed recently, and the following announcement is hereby made:

This statistical work, based on the principles of science, rigor, and authenticity, conducted a comprehensive and detailed investigation and statistics on gas heating and hot water boiler products. This survey investigated more than 120 gas heating and hot water boiler production enterprises; There are over forty manufacturers of components for gas heating water heaters, including controllers, water pumps, and proportional valves, as well as some distributors and agents. The survey adopted methods such as self reporting by enterprises, comparison of production and sales of complete machines and components, user surveys, and reference to customs data, and analyzed and organized the data to ensure its authenticity and accuracy.

1、 According to domestic sales volume statistics:

According to statistics, the total sales volume of gas heating water heaters in the Chinese market in 2013 was 1.52 million units. The domestic sales volume of domestically produced gas heating water heaters is 920000 units, while the domestic sales volume of imported gas heating water heaters produced in China is 250000 units; The domestic sales volume of imported gas heating water heaters is 350000 units, of which the annual sales volume of condensing gas heating water heaters is 30000 units.

Among them, there are 27 enterprises with annual sales exceeding 10000 units of domestically produced gas heating water heaters (including domestic gas heating water heaters and imported brand gas heating water heaters produced in China), totaling 881000 units, accounting for 75% of the domestic sales volume; There are 17 companies with annual sales exceeding 20000 units, totaling 751000 units, accounting for 64% of domestic sales; There are 13 companies with annual sales exceeding 30000 units, totaling 666000 units, accounting for 57% of domestic sales.

There are 11 enterprises with annual sales exceeding 10000 units of imported gas heating water heaters, totaling 312000 units, accounting for 89% of the domestic sales of imported gas heating water heaters; There are four companies with annual sales exceeding 20000 units, totaling 192000 units, accounting for 55% of the domestic sales of imported gas heating water heaters. The main import countries are Germany 112000 units, Italy 92000 units, Türkiye 51000 units, South Korea 50000 units, Poland 30000 units, Slovakia 12000 units. The total sales of the above countries account for 99% of the domestic sales of original imports.

2、 According to the statistics of domestic production volume:

According to statistics, the total production of gas heating water heaters in China in 2013 was 1.44 million units. The production capacity of domestically produced gas heating water heaters is 1.13 million units (including 920000 units sold domestically and 210000 units exported); The production volume of imported brand gas heating water heaters produced in China is 310000 units (including 250000 units sold domestically and 60000 units exported).

三、Sales statistics in the past five years：                                                    

According to statistical data, in the past five years, the sales volume of gas heating water heaters in the Chinese market has increased from 500000 units in 2009 to 1.52 million units in 2013, with an annual growth rate of over 30%, far exceeding the average speed of China's economic development. In 2013, against the backdrop of a slowdown in the domestic real estate and overall economic development, the total sales of gas heating water heaters still increased by over 26% compared to 2012, indicating a promising development trend. At the same time, the export volume of domestic brands is also increasing significantly, forming a situation from pure import to coexistence of import and export. It can be expected that in the next few years, China's gas-fired heating and water heaters will continue to maintain a high growth momentum.
